Ken Stallings - Team Leader

Ken Stallings is a Captain in the USAF, on active duty, and a veteran of numerous operations including DESERT STORM in Saudi Arabia, JOINT ENDEAVOR in Bosnia, SFOR operations again in Bosnia, SOUTHERN WATCH in Kuwait, and most recently ENDURING FREEDOM..  He is an instructor navigator with over 3,500 flying hours including about 500 combat hours.  He is also a rated Private Pilot.

Ken is married with two sons ages 9 and 5.  In 1985, he earned a degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University.  In addition to 16 years in the Air Force, he has also worked as a civilian dispatcher for a liquid bulk chemical trucking company in Atlanta, GA.

When he's not traveling around the world, he's basically a homebody trying to make up for lost time with his family.  He is an avid reader, and enjoys continuing his studies in government and international affairs.  He has also worked as a news reporter and columnist while a student at N.C. State.  For one year, he was News and Opinion Editor for the university newspaper, Technician.

His involvement with computer flight simulations began with the PC game Stealth Fighter in 1991.  Since then, he has purchased numerous games including the Aces series, Airwarrior, Janes ATF and WWII Fighers, Saber Ace, and Novalogic's and DID's F-22 games.

In the CFS/CFS2 world, he has beta tested many designs including the revolutionary Sparrowhawk trapeze system with the Akron airship made by Doug Westfall.  "With lot's of practice, I was even able to trap that puppy a few times!"  He also designed the 37mm flakpanzer gunpods used on Stev Fair's Ju-87 G2.  He is also responsible for historical research and design of the Stalingrad, Kursk, and Crimea campaigns.  His work on these campaigns includes design of the airbases, design of the battleground and orders of battle, beta testing of all components, and project coordination.

In addition to computer hobbies, Ken is an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Hurricanes fan.  He congratulates Robert Johnson and the NBA for creating the Charlotte Bobcats that returns the NBA to the city of Charlotte.

He has most recently purchased his own General Aviation aircraft, a 1977 Cessna 172N with FAA registration N733CZ.  This aircraft is hangared at Yellow River Airport in Holt, FL.
